HONY®PEEK ESd is a static-dissipative, carbon fiber reinforced PolyEtherEtherKetone ideal for when PEEK’s properties are needed, but protection from static discharge is also a requirement. Available in sheets and rods, and black in color, PEEK ESd materials boast qualities like:
Surface resistivity of 13 x 106and 1 X 109Ù/sq
Heat-deflection temperature of 480 degrees F
CLTE of 1.7 X 10–5/in./°F
Dissipative range of 106 – 109 ohms/sq
High structural strength and stiffness
Excellent dimensional stability

Typically, carbon-enhanced products become irreversibly more conductive when exposed to moderate voltage, but PEEK ESd maintains both its dielectric performance and its mechanical properties under such conditions.
